Gregory the Great, Homiliae in Hiezechielem et alia

The main part of the manuscript contains Gregory the Great’s Homiliae in Hiezechielem (pp. 1-148). The text is decorated with numerous ornate, interwoven initials of Carolingian derivation, alternating with geometrical and zoomorphic designs. However, at the end of the Gregorian text (p. 149) there is a prominent full-page illustration, the stylistic characteristics of which show it to be the work of an English artist […].
